Indian all-rounder, Krunal Pandya, who made his ODI debut for team India on Tuesday, was involved in a verbal battle with English all-rounder Tom Curran in the first ODI between India and England. Krunal and Tom Curran were involved in a heated exchange over a wide-ball decision by the on-field umpire.

Once again, the hosts were on the losing end of the toss as they were invited to bat first by English skipper Eoin Morgan. They got off to a decent start as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan stitched a partnership to help team Indian cruise through the powerplays. Although Rohit Sharma was dismissed early, Shikhar Dhawan kept batting at the other end.

After Rohit’s dismissal, skipper Virat Kohli and Dhawan stitched together a century stand to help India get to a big total. Kohli was dismissed after his half-century and so was Dhawan. Hardik Pandya also failed with the bat and Krunal Pandya and KL Rahul stitched together a century stand to help India get to 317 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their 50 overs.

As Krunal and KL Rahul looked on-song, there was a heated exchange between Krunal and English all-rounder Tom Curran. In the 49th over of the game, Krunal and Tom Curran were involved in a verbal battle as Tom Curran looked unhappy with an umpire’s decision of a wide-ball on the very previous delivery. Eventually, the on-field umpire had to step in to separate the two.
