India team keeper-batter KS Bharat stole the limelight during the fag end of the Day 3 of the ongoing second Test against England. The match between the two teams is taking place at Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
KS Bharat made an accurate prediction on the last ball of Day 3. All-rounder Axar Patel was handed the responsibility of bowling the last over. He bowled a decent last over but just before the last ball of the over, the keeper-batter gained applause by many.
KS Bharat was heard saying that the ball would go towards skipper Rohit Sharma, who was standing in slips. Things went exactly in the same way as had been predicted. It was a tough chance for skipper Rohit Sharma but will be counted as a drop catch.
Axar Patel bowled a flat delivery on the off stump to which Rehan Ahmed backed to cut it away. The ball took an edge that flew to the right of the first slip of Rohit Sharma for a boundary.
In the video that has gone viral on the internet, Axar Patel can be heard, saying “Rohit bhai ke paas jaayega (It will go towards Rohit).

Rehan Ahmed came out to bat after Ravichandran Ashwin removed Ben Duckett. India got all out for 255 runs in the second innings and set England a target of 399 runs to chase. The visitors were off fiery start, thanks to Zak Crawley and Duckett.
The duo added 50 runs for the opening partnership. They took attack to the Indian bowlers and put them under pressure right from the start. However, Ashwin remained Duckett for 28 runs and applied breaks on the scoring line.
Crawley on the other hand, kept batting aggressively. The batter played his shots and made sure he gave his team a positive start in the big chase. He was unbeaten at 29 at stumps whereas Rehan Ahmed was batting at 9.
KS Bharat fails with bat in home Test
KS Bharat hasn’t been impressive with the bat in the ongoing second Test against England. The keeper-batter failed in both the innings of the game and couldn’t make much impact in the match even though he has been brilliant with the gloves.
In the first innings, KS Bharat scored 17 runs off 23 balls in what had been his home Test. It was expected that he would set the stage on fire in the second innings and give his home crowd something to cheer about. However, this wasn’t the case.
KS Bharat failed to dispatch the short ball on off by Rehan Ahmed. The ball ended up looping the ball that was caught by skipper Ben Stokes with ease. The keeper-batter managed just 6 runs off 28 balls in the second innings. His wicket left the team tottering at 228/7.
Earlier, Shubman Gill slammed a magnificent ton for the team. He returned to form and played an innings of 104 runs when it mattered the most. His knock helped India take a lead of 399 runs on the board.
