Kyle Mayers produced a peach delivery to dismiss Harry Tector during the 35th match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL). Kyle Mayers shattered Harry Tector’s stumps with an inswinging delivery during the match between Sylhet Sixers and Fortune Barishal.
Kyle Mayers is representing Fortune Barishal in the ongoing Bangladesh T20 tournament. Mayers delivered an all-rounder performance to help his team secure an 18-run victory at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday, February 17.
Barishal chose to bat first on a batting-friendly pitch at Chattogram. The team lost the wicket of opener Ahmed Shehzad inside the third over. Mayers came to bat at No. 3 and scored a quick-fire 48-run knock from 31 balls with the help of three boundaries and three sixes.
Veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim scored a half-century before being dismissed. The right-handed batter scored 52 runs off 32 balls, including three boundaries and three sixes. Their batting lineup put up a formidable total of 183 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.
Kyle Mayers provided the early breakthrough for his team by dismissing Harry Tector on the second ball. The delivery pitched on a fuller length outside off and swung sharply, hitting the off stump. Tector had departed to the dugout without opening his account.

The West Indies all-rounder went on to take Najmul Hossain Shanto’s wicket on the fifth ball of the over. The medium-pacer ended the first over with a double-wicket maiden. He also dismissed opposition skipper Mohammad Mithun for his third wicket of the match.
Mayers conceded only 12 runs in his four overs while claiming three crucial wickets. The 31-year-old cricketer’s stellar performance earned him the Player of the Match award, acknowledging his impactful contributions with both bat and ball during the BPL encounter.

Kyle Mayers will represent the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) franchise in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The opening batter was bought by the franchise for a base price of Rs 50 lakh in the IPL 2022 auction. He has been retained by the team for the IPL 2024 season.
The left-handed batter made his IPL debut against the Delhi Capitals in the previous season. He scored 379 runs in 13 matches at a decent average of 29.15 and an impressive strike rate of 144.11, with a best score of 73. He failed to make any contributions with the bat.
