England all-rounder Liam Livingstone displayed an exhibition of high-class fielding effort during the game between Lancashire and Nottinghamshire in the Vitality T20 blast. The match between the teams took place on Wednesday (17th July) at the Emirates, Old Trafford in Manchester.
Liam Livingstone was the star performer for his team in the game. The all-rounder gave his best with the bat and ball as well as on the field. He was the MVP for Lancashire in the game against Nottinghamshire and helped them win the game by the margin of 8 wickets to bag important points.
Liam Livingstone first stepped up for his team with the ball. The all-rounder picked the important wicket of Tom Moorse and helped his team restrict the run flow. The batter was going great guns and he removed him for 26 runs to help his team take the 5th wicket quickly.
Liam Livingstone bowled three overs in the game and returned with the figures of 1/22. His effort with the ball saw Lancashire restricting Nottinghamshire to a total of just 131 runs. Apart from him, Luke Wood also picked three wickets and put pressure on the opposition with his bowling.
While his bowling was praiseworthy, Liam Livingstone came up with a sensational effort in the field. The all-rounder took the blistering catch to remove Lyndon James, who was going great guns and seemed to be taking the game away from the Lancashire with his brutal batting.
Luke Wood bowled a full delivery on the leg side to which Lyndon James lofted it towards the leg side. Liam Livingstone, who was in the deep, came running to his left and put in a sensational dive to remove the batter and put his team in the top position in the game.

Lyndon James played an innings of 51 runs off 38 balls. After he got out, Nottinghamshire lost wickets quickly and couldn't get going at all. They ended with the score of 131 runs in their quota of 20 overs at the Emirates, Old Trafford in Manchester.
Liam Livingstone shines with bat for Lancashire
If this was not enough, Liam Livingstone then came up with a blistering innings for his team in the chase. Lancashire lost Luke Wells (5) early in their innings and the all-rounder walked in at No.3 and changed the course of the game.
Liam Livingstone played an aggressive innings with the bat and took the game away from the opposition. The all-rounder slammed a brutal half-century took his team close to the target and earned two points for his team in the tournament.
Liam Livingstone played an unbeaten innings of 54 runs off 37 balls. The all-rounder batted with a strike rate of over 145 and also slammed 3 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. His knock saw Lancashire chasing the target inside 15 overs.
