Fans were lucky to escape unhurt as a huge six from Shamar Joseph sent tiles tumbling on day three of the ongoing second Test between England and West Indies at Trent Bridge.
It was the 107th over of the West Indies innings when Shamar Joseph was facing Gus Atkinson. On the second ball of the over, the West Indies pacer hit his England counterpart for a six. It was followed by a dot delivery before the left-hander came up with a brilliant pull shot to hit Atkinson for a huge six.
Atkinson bowled a short delivery and Shamar Joseph's stance made it clear that he was expecting it. He was ready for the short ball and as soon as Atkinson delivered the ball, Shamar Joseph brought out the pull shot for the huge six, sending the ball sailing behind behind square.
The ball went on to land on the roof and shattered a number of tiles. The broken tiles came down immediately but fortunately, no one was injured in the stands.

Talking about the game, West Indies came up with a brilliant batting display in the ongoing Test. The Caribbean outfit had suffered a crushing innings defeat in the first Test because of their batters' poor show in both innings and needed them to turn things around in the ongoing game.
And the West Indies batters responded in style as they piled up 457 runs in reply to England's first innings total of 416 runs to give their team a handy lead of 41 runs. On day two, the visitors were in a spot of bother after being reduced to 84 for 3.
However, a brilliant 175-run stand between Alick Athanaze and Kavem Hodge bailed them out of trouble. Athanaze departed for 82 but Hodge went on to score a brilliant century before being dismissed for 120. On day three, Joshua Da Silva's unbeaten 82-run knock helped West Indies take a slender lead. Shamar also played a crucial knock of 33 runs with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.
England are currently leading the series after winning the first Test by an innings and 114 runs.
