Digvesh Rathi loses cool after Ravi Bishnoi's blunder

Rathi is playing his first-ever season in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and he has already become the talk of the town. However, he has made the headlines not because of his performances but because of his antics on the field.

Digvesh Rathi, who has a bowling action like Sunil Narine and hairs like the vintage MS Dhoni, has been doing the notebook celebration after picking up the wickets.

His celebrations have not gone down well with the Indian Premier League (IPL) governing council, and the spinner was fined two consecutive times.

He then tweaked his celebration and started doing it on the ground to escape fines. But Dinesh Rathi went wild in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad after dismissing Abhishek Sharma and gave a brutal send-off to him with a notebook.

This didn't sit well with the batter, and the duo were engaged in an ugly spat on the field. LSG players and umpires had to intervene to separate the players, and after that game, Digvesh Rathi was handed a one-match ban.

The crackdown from the IPL governing council seems not to have affected Digvesh Rathi a bit, as he is hell-bent on not changing his behavior.

In the LSG vs RCB clash, the leg-spinner crossed all the lines when he was seen brutally abusing and bashing his teammate Ravi Bishnoi for a simple mistake.

The incident happened on the fifth ball of the 3rd over when Phil Salt hit a length outside off-stump delivery towards the deep mid-wicket. Ravi Bishnoi, who was stationed there, fumbled, and it allowed Phil Salt to complete a double.

Digvesh Rathi was absolutely furious at Ravi Bishnoi after Salt got one extra run, and he gave his teammate a mouthful, including a couple of expletives. He was clearly heard yelling "Maa ki ***** teri" while looking at Ravi Bishnoi.

Great privilege to make my debut, didn't go the way I Wanted - Matthew Breetzke

Speaking during the mid-innings break, LSG debutant Matthew Breetzke, who replaced Aiden Markram in the playing XI, said that he was not happy with his performance in his debut game. He said:

"Great privilege to make my debut, didn't go the way I Wanted, but awesome to play in front of these crowds.

"It felt like a really good wicket and the only challenge was that swinging ball from Thushara, it was runs galore there, the wicket looked really good. There is nerves about any game of cricket you play (debut), I was really excited."
