Pakistan National Cricket Team batter Fakhar Zaman picked his top two batters and bowlers in World cricket. What caught the attention of many was India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli didn't feature among his top-ranked batters, while Jasprit Bumrah made it in his List.

Fakhar Zaman's comments came in the video posted by Basit Ali on his YouTube channel. The Pakistan National Cricket Team batter was asked by the host to rank four batters from 1-4 according to their impact on world cricket.

Fakhar, however, didn't agree with Basit Ali. He mentioned that he won't be ranking 4 batters but instead will rank the top two. The reason behind this he stated that he plays safe these days. He was then told by Basit that "Pathans don't fear anyone", to which he mentioned they were old Pathans.

"I will say 1 and 2, not 3 and 4. Basit bhai, I am playing very safe these days. Those were old Pathans, Basit bhai," he said.

Fakhar Zaman was issued notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board and was dropped from the team

The reason behind Fakhar saying he is playing safe these days is that the batter was recently handed the notice by the Pakistan Cricket Board after he tweeted for Babar Azam when the batter was dropped from the Test squad during the England series.

Since that tweet, nothing has gone Fakhar's way. In that tweet, he criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board for dropping Babar Azam, saying that the omission of key players from the team sent the wrong message and that the batter should've been backed by the management.

Following that, Fakhar not only was issued the notice but he also was dropped from the team and wasn't given a central contract. The batter since then has been struggling to make his way back in the team and didn't play series in Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa.

Even though Fakhar Zaman is continuously playing in the domestic circuit, there are no signs of him making a comeback. Recently, captain Mohammad Rizwan and Team management mentioned that the batter is not fit and will be back in the team once he is fully fit.

Fakhar Zaman picks Joe Root and Babar Azam as his top two batters

Fakhar Zaman was then asked by Basit Ali to rank Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, Joe Root, and Kane Williamson from 1-4. The batter stuck to his word and rated only two as he picked the England National Cricket Team batter and his teammate, Babar.

He was also asked to rate between four bowlers Shaheen Afridi, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Naseem Shah. He picked the top two bowlers, naming the left-arm pacer and the Indian fast bowler. He said:

"I will say 1 and 2 only. Joe Root and Babar Azam. And in bowling, Top two. Shaheen and Bumrah."
