New Zealand fast bowler Matt Henry took a fantastic diving catch in the deep to dismiss Jasprit Bumrah during the first Test between India and New Zealand at Bengaluru. It was a highly athletic effort from the seamer who was also in the middle of his bowling spell.
India was already in big trouble with 8 wickets lost without even 50 runs on the board. During the 27th over of the match, fast bowler William O'Rourke bowled a short ball aimed at Bumrah's head.
Bumrah threw his bat at it and got a top edge towards deep square leg. For the most part, it seemed like he would be safe and Henry wouldn't be able to reach there. But Henry sprinted in and reached the ball to everyone's surprise.
The NZ pacer dived at the last moment and caught the ball cleanly just in time. It was a fantastic effort from Henry who put in a full sprint and showed his commitment despite his side already way ahead in the match.

The fact that Henry was in a middle of a bowling spell himself makes this catch an even excellent one. His commitment towards the catch was commendable as it led to the fall of India's ninth wicket, leaving them in even more trouble.
India were reduced to 40-9 with the fall of Jasprit Bumrah. Kuldeep Yadav was the last Indian wicket to fall as he was caught at gully by Michael Bracewell off the bowling of Matt Henry. India were shot out for a meagre 46 in just 31.2 overs.
New Zealand seamers skittle India's batting line-up
Matt Henry fittingly picked up his fifth wicket in the form of Kuldeep Yadav. The 32-year-old NZ seamer had an excellent day and made full use of the overcast conditions on offer. Matt Henry finished with incredible figures of 5-15 in 13.2 overs.
It was Matt Henry's fourth five-wicket haul in Test cricket in the 26th match. Other seamers Tim Southee and William O'Rourke too had excellent too. Southee picked up the first wicket of India's captain Rohit Sharma and finished with figures of 1-8 in 6 overs.
Young fast bowler William O'Rourke finished with 4-22 in 12 overs. The day was all about New Zealand's fast bowlers as they put up an exhibition of seam bowling at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
India fall to a record low at home
Meanwhile, India's score of 46 runs is their lowest total at home and the third lowest overall. It was a disappointing effort from India's world-class batting line-up which has scored so many runs in various conditions around the world but were clueless on this day.
India have Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj as the fast bowlers and both of them will be looking to exploit the favorable seaming conditions as well.
