While MS Dhoni does not like to show his emotions on the field or talk too much when in action, the former India skipper’s brilliant sense of humor is well known. Time and again, one has seen the legendary cricketer leaving his fans and others in splits with his hilarious comments.
And he was at it again during a recent event. MS Dhoni, who has been married since 2010, gave an important piece of advice to unmarried men in his usual witty manner. He came up with the famous line ‘meri wali alag hai’ leaving the audience in splits as he said:
“So, if you find someone, that you are really happy with please do get married. To all the bachelors present over here those who have a girlfriend, I would like to clear this misconception for you. Don’t ever think ‘meri wali alag hai’.

MS Dhoni delivers update on his knee:
During the same event, the former India skipper also delivered an update on his knee. MS Dhoni struggled with a knee injury throughout the IPL this year and had to undergo surgery just after the tournament ended. When asked about the recovery, the wicketkeeper-batsman said:
“Knee has survived the operation, going through the rehab phase. The doctor told me you would feel much better by November. But no problem in day-to-day routine.”
The way things are going at the moment, MS Dhoni looks set to play at least one more season of the IPL. He is yet to confirm his participation in the competition but has made it clear that he wants to play in IPL 2024. Speaking after the IPL 2023 final, he had said:
“Circumstantially, it’s the best time to announce retirement. The easy thing for me is to say thank you and retire. But the amount of love I have received from CSK fans, it would be a gift for them to (see me) play one more season.”
He led Chennai Super Kings to a record-equaling fifth IPL title. In the final, his team beat defending champions Gujarat Titans by five wickets.
