Shreyas Iyer soaked in all the pressure and played the spinners magnificently. The batter first attacked the fast bowlers and, after that, didn't let the spinners settle at all. He showed precise footwork and made sure that he ticked the scoreboard as well, taking the team past 150 runs with ease.

Iyer ended with an inning of 79 runs off 98 balls. The right-hander batted with a strike rate of over 80 and also slammed 4 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. With his wicket, India lost their 5th wicket and were left tottering at 172/5 inside the 37 overs.

With his innings, Iyer also became the leading run-getter for the India National Cricket Team in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. The batter will be playing a key role for the team in the semi-final, which will also be played at the same venue in Dubai.
