Australia National Cricket Team pacer Mitchell Starc has been putting in hard yards with the ball in the ongoing first Test against the India National Cricket Team pacer. The series opener between the teams is taking place at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
India National Cricket Team openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal have come up with a solid effort with the bat in the ongoing game. They have ensured that they take their team off to a flying start with the bat and put them in a dominating position in the game.
KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal have hardly put a foot wrong in their innings
KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal have hardly put a foot wrong in their innings, but they have been equally tested well by the Australian pacers, in particular Mitchell Starc. The left-arm pacer has looked threatening and has troubled the batters.
Mitchell Starc also provided his team with the chance that wasn't taken well. The left-arm pacer bowled his heart out, but the catch was dropped, and it provided Yashasvi Jaiswal with another life in the ongoing second innings of the first Test.
On the last ball of the 41st over, Mitchell Starc bowled a full ball to which Yashasvi Jaiswal went for a hard drive and got a thick edge. The ball went towards Usman Khawaja in slips and the opening batter came up with the lazy effort.
Usman Khawaja didn't move forward, and had he done that or stayed a bit low, he could have caught it. This made Australia National Cricket Team pacer Mitchell Starc fume at his teammate for giving a casual effort on the field.

Yashasvi Jaiswal's dropped catch might prove to be costly for the Australia National Cricket Team
Yashasvi Jaiswal's dropped catch might prove to be costly for the Australia National Cricket Team. This is because the opening batter has looked in terrific touch and is looking all set for a big knock. He has slammed a magnificent half-century and has hardly put a foot wrong in his innings.
Jaiswal, who scored a duck in the first innings, has made up for that in the second innings. He has ensured that he puts the India National Cricket Team in the dominating position. With the way he is batting, he would be keen to get a big ton.
Mitchell Starc, on the other hand, would want to bring his team back into the game with a few quick wickets. The pacer looked in staggering touch in the first innings as he picked up two wickets and also contributed to his team with the bat, scoring 26 runs off 112 runs. He was the highest run-getter for his team as he helped the Australia National Cricket Team go past 100 runs.
