In the heat of Rawalpindi during the second Test between Pakistan and Bangladesh, there was a friendly moment between Pakistan wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan and Bangladesh allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz which caught the attention of the spectators.

The moment happened in the 30th over of Bangladesh's first innings when Mehidy Hasan Miraz was on strike against the spinner Abrar Ahmed. Abrar, who was making his return to Pakistan's Test team, bowled a ball on fourth stump.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz tried to defend the ball but got an inside edge onto his pads and the ball got in between his legs as he was looking for the ball. Mohammad Rizwan went after the ball and pushed Mehidy Hasan Miraz forward in a friendly manner. Both the players shared a smile after the moment.

Both the players shared a warm hug with each other after the incident which was a great example of the spirit of the game.

The partnership between Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Mehidy Hasan Miraz launched Bangladesh's remarkable recovery alongside Litton Das with a brilliant partnership of 165 runs for the seventh wicket. The duo came together when Bangladesh were reduced to 26-6 after a phenomenal display of new-ball bowling by Khurram Shahzad and Mir Hamza.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Litton started the partnership cautiously against the seaming ball. But both of them changed gears after lunch as they made full use of the poor balls on offer. They kept the scoreboard ticking along which put the pressure back on Pakistani bowlers.

Mehidy was the more aggressive of the two as he played a positive brand of cricket. As it seemed like Bangladesh would go ahead in the match, Khurram Shahzad struck again by catching Mehidy off his own bowling. The offspinning allrounder was dismissed for a well-made 78, which included 12 fours and 1 six.

Litton Das scores a magnificent century

However, wicketkeeper Litton Das continued to battle hard and went on to score his fourth Test hundred. Litton was elegant in his strokeplay and his class was clearly visible. The right-hander particularly played some authoritative pull shots off fast bowlers to launch a fierce counter-attack.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan's new ball bowlers were right on target and made full use of the pitch. Five out of the top six batters in Bangladesh's line-up were dismissed for a single-digit score as they were reduced to 26-6. Out of these six wickets, Khurram Shahzad picked up four while left-arm seamer Mir Hamza got two wickets.

In the first innings, Pakistan were all out for 274 after none of their batters could make the start count. Three Pakistan batters were dismissed in the fifties with opener Saim Ayub being the highest run-scorer for them with 58. Mehidy Hasan Miraz also starred with the ball as he finished with 5-61. Taskin Ahmed also picked up 3 wickets for Bangladesh.
