Watch: Mohammed Siraj bamboozles James Anderson to bundle England for 319

India has bowled out England for 319 in the first innings as Mohammed Siraj bowled James Anderson for the score of 1. Siraj completed his four-fer after getting James Anderson’s wicket. Mohammed Siraj finished with a figure of 4/84 in the first innings as India led by 126 runs after the first innings. Siraj was at his best after resting in the Vizag Test and took the English batters on and grabbed a four-wicket haul in the first innings.

Mohammed Siraj bowled a beautiful delivery pitching it full and angling into off-stump from round the wicket to the left-hander. James Anderson did not move his feet much while trying to defend and it went past rattling into the off-stump. India needs to put up a good target for England to chase as they are looking to win this third Test match of the five-match series which is being played at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot.

Mohammed Siraj took the wickets of Ollie Pope, Ben Foakes, Rehan Ahmed and James Anderson in the first innings and helped India to bundle England for 319 taking a 126-run lead in the game. Ben Duckett was the star for England in the first innings as he played a sensational knock scoring 153 off 151 deliveries which included 22 fours and two sixes and batted at a strike rate of 101.32 in his innings. India is in a strong position from here and now they have to put up a huge target for England.

Mohammed Siraj took four wickets whereas Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets each. Jasprit Bumrah and Ravichandran Ashwin got a wicket each and England was eventually bundled for 319 which is 126 runs behind India’s first innings total of 445 which they got laying back on the centuries scored by skipper Rohit Sharma who scored 131 and local hero Ravindra Jadeja who scored 112.

India and England are facing each other in a five-match Test series which is currently levelled 1-1. The first Test was won by England who defeated India by 28 runs in Hyderabad but the second Test in Vizag saw a great comeback from the hosts who got the victory by 106 runs in the second Test. The third Test is currently going on in Rajkot and India is in a strong position in this Test match against England.

The debutants Sarfaraz Khan and Dhruv Jurel impressed as they scored 62 and 46 respectively and the latter was also brilliant behind the wickets. Jurel initiated a stumping of Tom Hartley and was good against spinners on his debut. He replaced the under-performing asset KS Bharat who got dropped after poor performance with the bat in the first two Tests.

India is yet to lose a Test series at home since the defeat against England which came back in 2012 when Sir Alastair Cook led the England team to a 2-1 victory on Indian soil. The hosts have 16 consecutive Test series wins at home since 2012 and they are expecting to win the series against England to make it 17.
