During the 3rd ODI match between India and West Indies at the PCA Stadium, New Chandigarh, Mohammed Siraj, who came back into the side, delivered a jaffer to dismiss Windies opener John Campbell and brought out his trademark celebration after dismissing one of the most in-form batters of the series. He has found the rhythm from the very start.
The Men in Blue side has already won the series, after winning the first two games by 8 wickets. This is more of a dead rubber match as they made three changes in the side, with Siraj being one of the three. He once again showed why he has been one of India’s best new-ball bowlers in the ODIs.
Mohammed Siraj bowls a jaffer
In the 4.1 over, Mohammed Siraj bowled a full ball and the ball came back in from the good length area. Campbell looked to swing it across the line and missed it and was beaten on the inside edge, as the ball brushed his pad before uprooting the off-stump, and Siraj, after picking up the wicket, brought his signature celebration.

Siraj came back into the squad in place of Prasidh Krishna, who had a decent outing in the first two ODIs. From the very start of the match, the former bowled full and got some swing to offer and went for runs as well, but he did not change his line and thus was rewarded for the same.
John Campbell was dropped on 9
John Campbell survived in the third over as his catch was dropped by Gurnoor Brar. It was a simple catch and could have given Anshul Kamboj the debutant his first wicket of his ODI career. The incident occurred in the 3.1 over as the Southpaw tried to play on the up, ending up slicing it towards third man.
However, despite being given a chance in that over, the centurion from the 2nd ODI match could not trouble the India bowlers much, as he was dismissed on the very first ball of the next over on the score of 10 runs.
Mohammed Siraj looks fresh in 3rd ODI
Mohammed Siraj's last ODI before today was against New Zealand in Indore on January 18, 2026. Since then, his pace dropped a bit in the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, which looked like a concern for the management as they manage his workload, as everyone knows that Siraj is a workhorse.
He was benched for the opening two games of the series as the team management experimented with combinations and rotated their pace attack. Now, after Mohammed Siraj was back in the side, he looked fresh and delivered a good first spell inside the powerplay. He would look to pick more wickets once he gets back onto his second spell.
