The Gujarat Titans (GT) premier pacer Mohammed Siraj has looked dominant with the ball in the ongoing ninth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against the Mumbai Indians (MI).

Mohammed Siraj did a fantastic job with the new ball and removed both the Mumbai Indians openers - Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton - at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday, March 29.

Ryan Rickelton falls for a low score

The star Proteas batsman Ryan Rickelton has failed to do well for the Mumbai Indians in the first two matches of the Indian Premier League 2025.

In the first match against CSK, he scored just 13 runs, and in the second match against GT, he took a long walk back to the pavilion after being dismissed for a 9-ball 6 with one four.

Ryan Rickelton was dismissed by pacer Mohammed Siraj on the 3rd ball of the 5th over. Mohammed Siraj bowled a sensational length delivery outside off-stump to the South African batter, who tried to smash the ball but only managed to get an inside edge and the ball destroyed his stumps.

After picking the wicket, Mohammed Siraj was delighted, and he was seen emulating the famous celebration of the legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

There's a hell of a lot of new faces - Ryan Rickelton's teammate

Speaking ahead of the match, Ryan Rickelton's teammate Will Jacks, who was dropped from the playing XI, spoke to the broadcasters.

Will Jacks said that there are a lot of new faces in the team and they have gelled well as the atmosphere of the camp has been quite good. He stated:

"The team have been brilliant. Obviously, after the big ocean, there's a hell of a lot of new faces. So the first week, 10 days, it's kind of how you gel as a team. And I think we've done that well. Obviously, we underperformed a bit in our first game, but we've got a really good vibe and atmosphere around the group and hopefully we can go all the way. And tell us more about that vibe and atmosphere."

Will Jacks added that they have got ex-MI players as the coaches in the setup which is a good thing. He elaborated:

"I think, like you say, they're five-time champions. There's obviously, we've got good ex-players as coaches, Pollard, Mallinga, people who have been around a whole time. I think there's just, there's a lot of experience. There's no panic after that first game.

"I think there was, actually, everyone was joking about Mumbai not winning the first game in about 10 years. So there wasn't too much worry about that. We know we've got a lot of talent in the group, a lot of fresh faces as well."

"So people are bringing different things to the team, which is what you need, a good mix of youth and experience. And yeah, we know we've just got to peak at the right time later on. And tell us about your own individual game, jumping from tournament to tournament."
