When everthying was going well in favour of the Indian National Cricket Team, a fresh injury scare caused concerns among the Indian cricket fans. The team's one of the team's main fast bowlers, Mohammed Siraj, has injured himself during the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka Test match in Colombo.

He was in serious pain and left the ground immediately with the support of the physio. On the fifth ball of the 11th over of Sri Lanka's second innings, Mohammed Siraj injured himself while fielding in the outfield.

He injured himself while he went to take a catch. Siraj not only missed the chance, but also left the field with an injury threat. He might have injured his rib cage.

Gurnoor Brar comes in to replace the injured Mohammed Siraj

Spinner Manav Suthar turned the ball across Pasindu Sooriyabandara, who went to execute a sweep shot. The batter somehow managed to play the short but the ball went high in the air. Mohammed Siraj, who was posted in deep mid-wicket, rushed to pouch the ball in his palms, throwing himself forward. His fingers touched the ball, but it slipped away from his grip. More importantly, Siraj was on the ground with visible pain on his face.

The physio quickly ran onto the ground to check the fallen fielder. Siraj was on his back when the physio went to check him. The fast bowler might have injured his rib cage area as he held the area. He walked off the ground. By lunch, he did notcomee to bowl; Gurnoor Brar came in as a replacement for Siraj. Forthe rest of the session, Saransh Jain and Ravindra Jadeja remained in action.

On a positive note for the Indian cricket team, during the 15th over, Siraj was sppotted pacing himsellf up at the sidelines, and is expected to see him in action soon again. Team India has been suffering with a long list of injured players. Fans and the team management will hope only the bests for the injured pacer.

Team India looking strong to claim the match and the series

After winning the Galle Test, the Shubman Gill-led side is looking strong enough to claim another dominating win over the host nation Sri Lanka. In response to India's 503, Sri Lankan bundeld out only for 290 runs.

The Indian skipper allowed the opposing team to bat in the follow up. By the Lunch break, the hosts were on 83 runs for a lose of a couple of wickets, trailing by 130 runs. To wrap up the match, the Men in Blue will look to take the rest of the wickets as soon as possible in Colombo.
