Former India and SRH star Naman Ojha feels that MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are better skippers than Virat Kohli. He also revealed the reason why Kohli failed at captainship.

Naman Ojha is a former SRH player who was also part of the IPL 2016 when his team beat Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final. It was the third time when RCB lost an IPL final after the 2009 and 2011 seasons.

MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma have ICC titles under their captainship

Notably, MS Dhoni is considered the best-ever Team India captain to date for the glories he brought to the Indian team from 2007 to 2015. Under his captainship, India won the T20 World Cup in 2007, the ODI World Cup in 2011, and the Champions Trophy in 2013.

He also brought the Indian team to the No. 1 Test team under his captainship. As for Rohit Sharma, he recently led the India team to victory in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Team India and Indian fans failed to win any ICC title for the next 10 years.

Rohit Sharma, after taking the captaincy across all formats, led the side to ICC glory after 11 years Although Virat Kohli has the best success rate in winning games under his captain across all formats than MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma to date, he failed to win any ICC title for the side. Kohli led the captaincy from 2015 to 2022.

Meanwhile, former player Naman Ojha spilled some facts during a recent chat with Sports Yaari. During the chat, he spoke about Rohit Sharma, MS Dhoni, and Virat Kohli's captaincy.

Speaking about MS Dhoni, he said, "MS Dhoni is the very cool captain. He knows how and when to utilize a player. Whereas Virat Kohli is very aggressive and every individual has a different personality. See, every individual has a different personality and Rohit is very calm and cool. He focuses on the skills of every player", he said.

Naman Ojha also spoke about why RCB lost the T20 World Cup 2016 under Kohli's captainship. Also, when asked to pick between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Naman picked Rohit as a better person. Have a look at the video below.

Rohit Sharma won the ICC title within 2.5 years of taking the captaincy

Meanwhile, Sharma has proved why he is indeed a better skipper than Virat Kohli; if not a better batter. While Kohli failed to win ICC titles across three formats multiple times for years, Sharma won it after taking over as skipper in 3 years.

Notably, the Rohit Sharma-led India team lost the ICC ODI World Cup 2023 against Australia and it was a shocking setback for the hosts.

However, they won hearts after capturing the T20 WC title after just six months. Interestingly, it was only Kohli who won the final game for India with his 76 runs. He won the Man of the Man in the final game. Sharma and Kohli left the T20I format after winning the game.
