I Told Myself To Play Intelligently - Musheer Khan
Speaking after his century on Day 1, Musheer credited Navdeep Saini for his crucial role in their rescue effort. Musheer said that Saini gave him confidence and assurance to contribute. He added that he wanted to defend early balls and then take singles.
“When wickets were falling at the other end, I told myself to play intelligently and look for a partnership. Then Saini bhai gave me a lot of confidence, saying he will play whether it is two balls or six balls in an over, and just keep faith in him," Musheer said.
“He was also able to match my thinking and approach while batting. But generally, I was trying to defend the first three or four balls and then take a single,” he added.
At the time of writing, India A were 72/2, with Riyan Parag (5 off 16) and KL Rahul (0 off 8) at the crease. Navdeep Saini has been the pick of the bowlers for India B. Saini picked up two wickets, including Shubman Gill, for 19 runs in his four overs.
