Harpreet Brar provided a much-needed breakthrough for Punjab Kings by removing the well-set Padikkal at a crucial moment. Padikkal, who was at 61 runs off just 35 balls with 5 fours and 4 sixes, tried to go big once again.
He stepped down the track to a tossed-up delivery from Harpreet, aiming to clear the long-on boundary. But this time, the RCB star mistimed the shot completely. The ball went high up in the air rather than long, and Nehal Wadhera, positioned at long-on, judged it perfectly.
He settled under the ball and took an easy and perfect catch to bring PBKS back into the game. However, Royal Challengers Bengaluru still have 8 wickets in hand while chasing the modest target of 158 runs against the Punjab Kings in Mullanpur.
