Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) batter Nicholas Pooran set the stage on fire in the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals (DC). The fourth game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is taking place at the Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam.

Nicholas Pooran was at his brutal best and was all over the Delhi Capitals bowlers. The left-hander walked out to bat at three and right from the word go, he started hitting boundaries, slamming bowlers all over the park.

The over started with the dot, and after that, it was all about Nicholas Pooran and his brutal hitting. On the second ball of the over, the LSG batter went down on his knee and swept the delivery on middle and leg uppishly over deep backward square leg for a massive six.

The third ball of the over had the same result as that of the second. Tristan Stubbs bowled a tossed-up delivery, and the batter launched it over long-on for a massive six. He then followed it up with another maximum as he hit the floated delivery over long on for a massive six.

If this was not enough, Pooran then hammered another six. Tristan Stubbs bowled a loopy delivery on the off stump, to which Nicholas Pooran stayed put and tonked it over long-off to put the Delhi Capitals bowlers under massive pressure.

Pooran then ensured that he ended the over on high as he slammed a boundary on the last ball. Tristan Stubbs bowled a full delivery to which the batter drilled it past the bowler. The spinner couldn't get his hand to it and the ball raced away to the fence for four.

Nicholas Pooran slams a half-century in just 24 balls

Pooran went to hit his half-century in just 24 balls. The batter ended with an innings of 75 runs off 30 balls, batting with a strike rate of 250. His innings was laced 6 fours and 7 sixes before Mitchell Starc removed him in the 15th over.

Thanks to his brilliant innings with the bat, Lucknow Super Giants posted a massive total of 209 runs on the board. Apart from him, Mitchell Marsh also played a sensational innings at the top, scoring 72 runs off 36 balls. For Delhi Capitals, Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 2/20.
