The scene unfolded with a short, off-length delivery outside off-stump, which Mayank Agarwal, unable to resist, poked at. Nitish Kumar Reddy, stationed at second slip, stretched out with a magnificent right hand to snatch the ball. Initially, the ball bobbled, but with solid determination, Nitish Kumar Reddy managed to secure it as he hit the ground.

Even as the India A all-rounder lay on the turf, he plucked the ball with one hand and ensured it stayed in his grasp. However, Mayank stood at the crease in anticipation, but the replays confirmed what everyone had expected— Nitish Kumar Reddy's catch was impeccably clean and it was out.

Yash Dayal put India B on the front foot against India A

Well, India A is already on the verge of suffering a massive loss to India B in the Duleep Trophy 2024 game. After Mayank, India A captain Shubman Gill yet again fell to Navdeep Saini for just 21 runs off 35 balls, while Dayal struck again and dismissed Riyan Parag for 31 runs off 18 balls in Bengaluru.

However, KL Rahul is still batting, but India A has been continuously losing wickets, with Dhruv Jurel and Tanush Kotian dismissing for duck to Yash and Mukesh Kumar, respectively. At the moment, India A still needs 181 runs with five wickets in hand to win the match against India B in Bengaluru.
