Former Indian Test batter Prithvi Shaw was seen engaged in a heated altercation with Mumbai players and Musheer Khan after he was dismissed a few runs short of his stupendous double-century.
The 25-year-old Mumbai-born cricketer, who rose to stunning form during the initial years of his debut after having made great performances for India in the U19 World Cup. He has also played for India in 5 games and scored his maiden hundred in the second innings of his debut Test match.
Shaw has scored nearly 4500 runs in first-class cricket, appearing in over 58 matches for Mumbai in the Indian domestic circuit. The batter has also scored 13 first-class hundreds and has the highest individual score of 379.

After some unconvincing performances for the Mumbai State Cricket Team, he was snubbed from the season's squad due to his weak performances. He further moved to the Maharashtra team for the domestic season of 2025-26.
Having moved to Maharashtra, he has already started off with a ton. Now playing in a warm-up game between Maharashtra and his former side, Mumbai, Shaw began with a terrific hundred on Day 1.
After his dismissal against Sarfaraz Khan's brother, Musheer Khan, who bowls part-time off-spin for Mumbai, Shaw was seen engaging in a heated argument with the bowler as well as several other players in the Mumbai camp. The umpire intervened and separated the players as he also helped Prithvi Shaw towards the dressing room to avoid any further confrontations on the field.

Shaw and Arshin Kulkarni's triple-century opening stand in the warm-up game for Maharashtra
Having opted to bat, Prithvi Shaw opened the innings alongside fellow opener Arshin Kulkarni, and the duo went on to add a huge amount of runs in the first innings of the batting innings.
Arshin Kulkarni went on to score a splendid 186 runs off just 140 balls, as the left-hander contributed to a mammoth 305-run opening partnership with Prithvi Shaw batting on 116 off 159 balls on the other end.
Kulkarni was the first Maharashtra batter to be dismissed in the 50th over of the innings, while Shaw went on to score 65 more runs in his innings off just 60 balls. Shaw was dismissed for 181 runs off just 219 balls.

Maharashtra will kick off their Ranji Trophy season in 2025-26 with the first match against Kerala on the 15th of October and will then go on to face Chandigarh in their second game. After these games, the remaining games of their season have been scheduled against Saurashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Goa, and Madhya Pradesh.
Prithvi Shaw will be making a desperate attempt to prove his worth in front of the Indian selectors, as the batter who was once cited as the future of Indian cricket has been ousted from the Indian side. The batter for over 5 years, has been looking forward to making a team India comeback.
