Gujarat Titans all-rounder Rashid Khan couldn't make a big impact with the bat in the ongoing game against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The game between the two teams is taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday (9th April).

Rashid Khan, who walked out to bat at seven, came out all guns blazing. The Afghanistan National Cricket Team player slammed a six on the first ball that he faced and then followed it up with a boundary on the next ball. After that, he took a double, and with the kind of start that he had, it looked like he would carry on and make a massive impact.

But that wasn't the case, as Rashid Khan was back in the hut on the 4th ball that he faced. On the last ball of the 19th over, Tushar Deshpande bowled a short-of-length delivery and gave no room to the Gujarat Titans batter. The all-rounder tried to be cheeky and play the no-look flick.

There was no deep fielder so Rashid Khan tried to move across and flick. Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was stationed inside the circle, put in a great full-length dive to his right and picked a brilliant catch to send the batter packing.

Gujarat Titans posted a massive total of 217 runs on the board

Rashid Khan played an innings of 12 runs off 4 balls, batting with a strike rate of 300. The all-rounder also slammed one four and one six as well. After he got out, Rahul Tewatia also played a brutal hand down the order to take Gujarat Titans to a total of over 200.

Rahul Tewatia played an innings of unbeaten 24 runs off 12 balls. But the real hero for Gujarat Titans was Sai Sudharsan. The opening batter played a brilliant innings of 82 runs off 53 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 154, hitting 8 fours and 3 sixes during his stay at the crease.

Apart from him, Jos Buttler (36), Shahrukh Khan (36) and Sherfane Rutherford also made handy contributions as Gujarat Titans posted a massive total of 217 runs on the board. For Rajasthan Royals, Tushar Deshpande and Maheesh Theekshana picked two wickets each, but they were expensive.

However, in the ongoing game, Rashid Khan picked wicket in the first over that he bowled. The leg-spinner removed Dhruv Jurel and would be hoping to carry on and help his team register another win in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
