Every match is important in ICC events, so we will keep things normal - Mohammad Rizwan

Pakistan National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bat first. Mohammad Rizwan talked about the importance of setting a big total on the board. He expressed his confidence in his team doing well and confirmed Imam-ul-Haq's return to XI. He said:

"Will bat first, looks like a good surface. Want to put up a good target. Every match is important in ICC events, so we will keep things normal. The boys are familiar with these conditions. We have done well here, and we want to do our best today. We lost our last game, but it is past for us now. One change - Fakhar is out, Imam is in."

We have an experienced unit in batting so we know what we need to do - Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma, on the other hand, threw a punch at Pakistan, saying that the toss doesn't matter, and added that they need to play collectively to win the game. He also highlighted how the last game tested them. He added:

"Doesn't really matter, they won the toss so we'll bowl first. Looks similar to the last game, the surface is on the slower side. We have an experienced unit in batting so we know what we need to do if the pitches get slower.

"Need an overall performance from the team - with bat and ball. The last game wasn't an easy one for us, which is always nice. You want to be under pressure and test yourself. We are playing the same team."

India National Cricket Team started the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on high. They beat Bangladesh National Cricket Team by 6 wickets but it wasn't an easy chase for them. Pakistan National Cricket Team, on the other hand, lost to New Zealand in their tournament opener.
