Ravichandran Ashwin Is Genuinely A Cricket Scientist - Dinesh Karthik

In a conversation with Harsha Bhogle on Cricbuzz, Dinesh Karthik praised Ashwin, describing him as a "cricket scientist." Karthik said Ashwin is a genius who thinks about the game deeply. He expressed that Ashwin arguably is one of India's greatest cricketers.

"He is genuinely a cricket scientist, Harsha. He thinks about the game so much, so engrossed and involved in the process. Also, there are not many things in the world that gives him as much happiness as doing something with the ball or bat," Karthik said.

"The man is an absolute genius. Coming from the same state as him, I feel proud to say he is Tamil Nadu's greatest cricketer and arguably one of India's greatest cricketers as well," he added.

The Indian team batted first but collapsed to 34/3. However, Yashasvi Jaiswal (56) and Rishabh Pant (39) laid a foundation before Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja formed a strong partnership. Ashwin and Jadeja added a 199-run stand for the seventh wicket, helping India reach a total of 376.
