Mitchell Marsh falls for 30 runs
Marsh has emerged as one of the best batters for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier 2025. He has scored runs consistently and has already smashed four half-centuries in the competition.
Marsh has provided Lucknow Super Giants with flying starts with his explosive batting at the top-order and ensured that his team ends up with big scores on the board.
In the match against Chennai Super Kings, Marsh didn't play an attacking brand of cricket and was cautious from the start. He tried to accelerate but wasn't able to play a big knock and got out in the 10th over.
On the third ball of the over, Ravindra Jadeja bowled a flatter delivery to Marsh that skidded along the deck. Marsh tried to play his shot but the ball beat the batter and crashed into the stumps.
Marsh walked back to the pavilion after scoring 30 runs off 25 balls. His innings was studded with two fours and two sixes

Lucknow depends so heavily on their top three - Wasim Jaffer
Speaking ahead of the LSG vs CSK match on ESPNCricinfo, Piyush Chawla said that the top order of Lucknow Super Giants is far superior to the Chennai Super Kings. He elaborated:
"Well, definitely, you know, if you see the top three of Lucknow team and might be Mitchell Marsh will also be back, then Aiden Markram looking in good touch and Nicholas Pooran is in form of his life. So, and on the other hand, if you see CSK's top three, they're struggling for runs. So, I think it's going to be an interesting clash that how they're going to cope up with that. Because CSK is not a team you look at and you say, okay, no matter how the team is, they never lose like five games like this.
"So they must be thinking a lot of things about that. And obviously, they want to come back hard because five time champions, they have a legacy. So they want to do something different and out of the box."
Meanwhile, Wasim Jaffer said that the Lucknow Super Giants are overdependent on their top-order batting unit. He said:
"Yeah, I mean, Lucknow depends so heavily on their top three and they have delivered consistently. You know, at the start, it looked like, you know, Lucknow will be struggling on the bowling front. But they found ways. Avesh Khan's inclusion has helped. Shadul Thakur has performed. Digvesh Rathi has come really nicely. So I think they're picked up as a team.
