India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja pulled off a legendary wicketkeeper batter MS Dhoni-esque run-out during the second Test against New Zealand. Ravindra Jadeja exhibited a great presence of mind to effect a run-out of New Zealand batter William O'Rourke despite a wayward collect from the fielder.

The hosts made a strong comeback with the ball in the first session of the third day of the match at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Saturday, October 26. They picked up five wickets in the New Zealand second innings inside the first overs as the victim team bowed out for 255 runs.

The incident took place in the 70th over of New Zealand's second innings. Ravindra Jadeja inflicted an MS Dhoni-esque no-look run-out. William O'Rourke showed no urgency while completing the second run. Jadeja flicked Washington Sundar's throw onto the stumps just in time to dismiss O'Rourke.

Ravindra Jadeja Took Three Wickets On Third Day Of Pune Test

Jadeja provided an early breakthrough by dismissing Tom Blundell, who scored 41 runs off 83 balls. Notably, it was his first wicket for Jadeja across two innings in the match. He then dismissed Mitchell Santner and Ajaz Patel. Ravichandra Ashwin picked up the wicket of Tim Southee in the morning.

Washington Sundar didn't come to bowl in the morning session of the third day. The right arm off spinner picked up four wickets on the second day during the New Zealand second innings. It is worth mentioning that the Tamil Nadu bowl cricketer bagged his career-best seven wicket haul in the first innings.
