Gill brought his half-century in just 34 balls and this was his third fifty in the season. After that, he activated his beast mode and made sure that he got quick runs for his team, taking them to a big total on the board.
Gill looked all set for a big ton, but his stay at the crease was cut short by the brilliance of Rinku Singh in the field. The right-hander was removed by Vaibhav Arora in the 18th over, but the credit for that wicket goes more to Rinku.
Vaibhav Arora bowled a low full toss, to which Shubman Gill walked across to biff it over midwicket without a big backlift. He ended up hitting it flat, and Rinku Singh came in from deep midwicket to take a superb catch diving forward before kissing the ball.
