India National Cricket Team batter Rinku Singh faced an injury scare in the ongoing game against Sri Lanka in the second T20I. The penultimate game of the three-match series between the teams is taking place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.
Sri Lanka National Cricket Team are having a great outing with the bat in the ongoing game against the India National Cricket Team. One of the major reasons behind that has been left-hander Kusal Perera, who has taken the bowlers to the cleaners and has smashed them all over the park.
Kusal Perera, who came out to bat at No.3, made sure that he takes his team to the big total. The Southpaw played some crisp shots in his innings, but he wouldn't have done as much damage as he did if he got a reprieve. But it also resulted in Rinku Singh facing an injury blow.
During the 3rd ball of the 14th over, Hardik Pandya bowled a delivery to which Kusal Perera played his trademark pick-up shot behind square on the leg side. He didn't find his timing right and didn't middle the ball as the ball went to Rinku Singh, who was near the boundary ropes.
It seemed that Rinku Singh would take the catch, and he did that, but he lost control and slipped, which resulted in him falling as he slid into the boundary rope, allowing the batter to get six runs and reach his fifty in style.

Thankfully, the injury didn't seem very serious as Rinku Singh was quick on his feet again and continued fielding. Kusal Perera looked at his fluent best as he slammed his half-century and ensured that the Sri Lanka National Team went past the 130-run mark with ease.
Rinku Singh makes a comeback as he takes a good catch to remove Kusal Perera
Rinku Singh, however, didn't take long to make a comeback as he took a brilliant catch to remove Kusal Perera. It was Hardik Pandya who got his man in the 16th over; he went on to remove the batter, having missed the chance earlier.
Hardik Pandya bowled an off-speed short-of-length delivery away over the on-side, to which Kusal Perera cleared his front leg to heave the ball away over the on-side. He didn't get it off the middle of the bat and holed out.
Rinku Singh bent forward to take a low catch at deep square leg. As he took the catch, he kissed the ball after completing the catch. Thankfully, the earlier dropped catch didn't cost India much, as Kusal Perera got out after scoring a few more runs.
