India wicketkeeper batter Rishabh Pant played a vital hand with the bat in the ongoing first T20I against Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The first game of the series between the teams is currently taking place at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele.

Rishabh Pant walked out to bat at No.4 and took some time to get going. He played a perfect second fiddle to skipper Suryakumar Yadav as he was all focused on giving the captain the strike, who went berserk and slammed the bowlers all over the park.

But once Suryakumar Yadav was back in the hut, Rishabh Pant took the onus to himself and made sure that he took his team to the big total. The keeper-batter was batting at 20(20) at one stage, and after that, it was carnage from his bat as he brought out his best with the bat.

During the 4th ball of the 16th over, Asitha Fernando attempted a yorker but ended up delivering a full toss. Rishabh Pant brought his wrists into play and then played the helicopter shot to perfection. The ball landed on the grass banks beyond mid-wicket.
