The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant was at his cheeky best in the fourth match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The match between the Delhi Capitals and the Lucknow Super Giants was hosted by the Dr. YSR Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam on Monday, March 24.

Rishabh Pant tries to run out Kuldeep Yadav in cheeky fashion
Pant had a disastrous outing with the bat on his debut for LSG as he bagged a 6-ball duck on a good batting wicket where almost all Lucknow Super Giants batters played superbly.
Rishabh Pant didn't let his failure with the bat impact his performance as a skipper on the field in the second innings, as he was spot-on with his field placements and bowling changes.
Despite the DC batters putting the pressure back on the LSG bowlers, Rishabh Pant looked in a fun mood, especially in the 18th over when his good friend Kuldeep Yadav was batting.
On the second ball of the over, Ravi Bishnoi bowled a googly to Kuldeep, who chopped it in front of the keeper. Rishabh Pant quickly collected the ball and pushed Kuldeep out of his crease, with the chinaman bowler slipping on the pitch.
Then, Pant took the bails off as Kuldeep was out of the crease. However, it was all just a friendly banter and umpires didn't pay much attention to it.

Talking about the match, Delhi Capitals won the absolute nail-biter by one wicket thanks to an outrageous batting performance from the explosive batter Ashutosh Sharma, who slammed an unbeaten 66 runs off 31 balls.
Pant has been fantastic - David Miller
Speaking ahead of the match, the Lucknow Super Giants batter David Miller said that they have been training and preparing quite well for the competition. He said:
"We are ready to go. Some guys were here around two weeks ago. Enough of training and preparations and it's good to get underway for the first game."
"As we go along, we assess. It's good to be in a new team. Refreshing time for me. We have got great overseas guys as well and a great bunch to be with. Yeah, it's been good fun and the first game starts now and the business starts."
David Miller also showered rich praise on Pant for his leadership and said that he is quite calm and relaxed all the time. He said:
"Pant has been fantastic. Some great inputs. Super calm and relaxed so far. I have always enjoyed watching him play and how he goes about with his business. So, looking forward to having that relation with him and adding value wherever I can.
"There are 14 games. So, you are going to win some games and lose some games. It's important to get the win first. Looking at Mumbai, they have lost most of their first games but have done really well. Won most of the trophies. It makes a big play to start well tonight."
