Pat Cummins and Scott Boland wreaked havoc on the Indian batters in Adelaide
Australian captain Pat Cummins and pacer Scott Boland wreaked havoc on India’s batting line-up with half of the team already back in the pavilion for just 105 runs in Adelaide. Yashasvi Jaiswal started well but fell to Boland for 25 runs off 31 balls while Cummins removed KL Rahul for just 7 runs in the ongoing second Test at the Adelaide Oval.
Virat Kohli also failed to live up to the expectations, surrendering to Boland for just 11 runs off 21 balls, followed by Shubman Gill (28) to Mitchell Starc and captain Rohit Sharma (6) to Cummins. India’s current score stands at 128/5 at the stumps on Day 2 of the Day-Night Test.

Australia-India scored second highest runs in a day's play in the Day-Night Test
Notably, in the Day-Night Test matches, records for runs scored in a single day's play have continued to push boundaries. The highest runs scored in 2019, when Australia faced Pakistan at Adelaide, with both teams racking up 383 runs.
This was closely followed by the ongoing pink-ball match between Australia and India at the same venue, where the total of 379 runs was scored on Day 2. Other notable performances include Pakistan's 369 runs against the West Indies in Dubai in 2016 and New Zealand’s impressive 362 against England in Mount Maunganui in 2023.
