Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant, contrary to his jolly nature, was involved in an on-field tussle with English wicketkeeper-batsman Ben Foakes when India took on England in the 2nd Test at Chennai. The quarrel took place later in the day as team India sailed on 300 runs on the first day.

The Indian Cricket Team won the toss and skipper Virat Kohli elected to bat first. The start was not a great one for India as an in-form opener, Shubman Gill went back to the pavilion on a duck. However, his opening partner, Rohit Sharma kept batting on a seemingly dead track in Chennai.

Rohit kept stitching partnerships with Indian batsmen but the wickets kept tumbling until Ajinkya Rahane arrived. Both Rohit and Rahana slaughtered the English bowlers all over the park as team India remained wicketless in the second session of the day’s play after losing early wickets of Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, and Shubman Gill.

However, the English team bounced back in the final session and picked 3 wickets in the last session. Rishabh Pant was once again effortless with the bat but he had a rather intriguing altercation with Ben Foakes behind the stumps in the final overs of the day’s play. Although, it hasn’t been revealed as to what took place in middle but, things were heated up as Ben Stokes had to intervene and calm the guys down.

The Indian Cricket Team will like to score another 100 runs from here and put England in to bat on a deadly turf that is helping the spinners from Day 1. Kuldeep Yadav, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Axar Patel can chip in quick wickets and put England in a bother of position.
