Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant seems to be back in his dangerous form with the bat, as he is hitting Bangladesh for joy in the ongoing first Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Pant has already smoked a stunning fifty, and one of his trademark shots left Virat Kohli stunned. In the 48th over of India’s second innings, Bangladesh pacer Hasan Mahmud delivered a length ball down the leg side, and Pant reacted in his signature style.

Rishabh Pant's signature six leaves Virat Kohli amazed in Chennai Test

The left-handed batter crouched low and unleashed a powerful shot, sending the ball soaring flat over fine leg for a massive six. The Indian dressing room erupted in smiles, as this audacious shot is something only Pant could pull off with such ease, leaving Kohli in disbelief.

The former Indian captain was seen amazed in the dressing room, as he could not believe how Pant effortlessly punched the fast bowler for a maximum. Now, Kohli's reaction to Pant's trademark shot is going viral on social media.

Here's Virat Kohli's viral reaction to Rishabh Pant's classy six:

Pant has already smashed three sixes and nine fours before the lunch break on Day 3 of the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh. He will resume the batting at 82 runs off 108 balls, while Shubman Gill (86*) is also close to his hundred at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Day 3.

Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill make the most of the lifelines given by Bangladesh

Gill has been in stunning form and continued to rule the Test cricket in the ongoing game against the Tigers. The right-handed batter’s last four second innings score reads: 104, 91, 52*, and 86*. Now, he is well set and driving fast to his fifth hundred in his Test career.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s fielding was poor on Day 3, as they dropped both Pant and Gill to only dig a grave for themselves, as both the Indian stars are capitalizing on their given life line. In the 49th over, Pant top-edged a slog sweep off Shakib Al Hasan, sending the ball high towards mid-wicket.

And Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto was perfectly stationed at the mid-wicket but, in a surprising twist, he dropped the easy catch. With plenty of time to settle under it, Shanto still fumbled, as he was looked in hurry and never seemed confident in taking the crucial catch.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's flop show continued in Chennai

Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma yet again flopped with the bat, as he could score only 6 and 5 runs in the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh. On the other hand, Kohli looked good for the big scores but missed opportunity in the second innings by not taking the DRS against his LBW wicket.

Kohli managed only 6 and 17 runs across the innings in the ongoing Chennai Test against Bangladesh. However, Team India is heading towards a big total on the board, thanks to Ravichandran Ashwin’s century and Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja’s fifty in the first innings.

Now, Gill and Pant are set for the hundreds, and Bangladesh will have a mammoth target to chase down in the ongoing first Test against India at the Chepauk Stadium, and the way they were bowled out for 149 in the first innings, the target will be too much for them to chase in Chennai.
