The Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant once again failed with the bat in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Saturday, April 19.
Rishabh Pant fell to an insane juggling catch by Dhruv Jurel during the 36th match of IPL 2025 between the Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

Rishabh Pant falls for 3
Pant, who is the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League, has failed miserably in the IPL 2025 as a batter. He has not looked comfortable in the middle in most of the matches, and some experts feel that the price tag pressure is affecting him badly.
Pant started off his tournament with a duck against the Delhi Capitals and followed it up with scores of 15, 2, 2, and 21. He then smashed a fifty in the match against the Chennai Super Kings, but it was very slow.
Rishabh Pant scored his fifty off 42 balls, and he ended his innings with 63 off 49 balls as the Lucknow Super Giants lost the match.
Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant yet again failed as he scored just 3 runs off 9 balls before being dismissed by Wanindu Hasaranga in the 8th over of the innings against RR.
On the fourth ball of the over, spinner Wanindu Hasaranga bowled a length ball to Pant, and the wicketkeeper-batsman went for a reverse sweep. However, he only managed to get a top edge, and the ball hit the grill of Dhruv Jurel's helmet; from there, it dropped and went into his gloves as the RR keeper completed the catch after three juggles.

I think it’s time to stop this Rishabh Pant hate-watch. The guy is an absolute liability. He's never going to move me whatsoever. One of most overrated T20 player in recent years.

Rishabh Pant has failed again! When the team needed him the most, he threw his wicket away for just 3 runs off 9 balls. Absolutely pathetic! Is he even serious about his game? this is just pure irresponsibility!!!!💔💔#LSGvsRR #RishabhPant #RRvsLSG pic.twitter.com/u5EoENg1t5

How did LSG perform in their previous IPL 2025 match?
Lucknow Super Giants suffered a five-wicket defeat to Chennai Super Kings in their previous IPL 2025 outing on April 14 in Lucknow.
Being invited to bat first, LSG struggled to build momentum early on. Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran departed cheaply, while Mitchell Marsh looked good during his 25-ball 30 before being castled by Ravindra Jadeja.
Captain Rishabh Pant, however, played his best knock of the season for LSG (63 off 49 deliveries) before Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad chipped in with brief cameos to help the team end up with a score of 166/7 on the board.
Defending the score, LSG bowlers allowed Shaik Rasheed (27) and Rachin Ravindra (37) to build a great 52-run stand, but after that, they picked up wickets at regular intervals.
They reduced CSK to 111/5 with Ravi Bishnoi, Avesh Khan, Digvesh Rathi, and Aiden Markram chipping in with wickets and raising the hopes for the win.
However, MS Dhoni and Shivam Dube kept the Lucknow Super Giants under pressure and completed the run-chase with 3 balls remaining as the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman Dhoni hammered 26 off just 11 balls to claim his first Player-of-the-Match award since 2019.
