Star India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant suffered a colossal injury blow during the first Test against the England National Cricket Team.
Rishabh Pant's injury issue left the India National Cricket Team skipper, Shubman Gill, deeply worried on Day 3 on Sunday, June 22.
Rishabh Pant receives treatment on his ankle
After the 86th over of the second innings of the match, star gloveman Rishabh Pant was down on the ground, and he immediately called for a physio.
There was a break in play, and Pant was seen getting some treatment on his right leg. The physio was seen putting some spray on Rishabh Pant's ankle before strapping it with tape, and the wicketkeeper-batsman was good enough to continue.
During the small break, Harry Brook also rushed off the field for a comfort break, and the groundstaff arrived in the middle to fix some pitch stuff. Looking at the delay, the umpires called for a drinks break to save some time.

India haven't produced a better wicketkeeper-batter than Rishabh Pant - Aakash Chopra
Rishabh Pant smashed a sensational century in the first innings of the Leeds Test, registering 134 runs off 178 balls, with 12 fours and 6 sixes, to put India in a great position. With his ton, he became the Indian keeper-batsman with the most centuries in Test cricket.
Pant's batting brilliance impressed Aakash Chopra a lot as the cricketer-turned-commentator hailed him on his YouTube channel. Aakash Chopra said that Pant is India's best wicketkeeper-batsman of all time in Test cricket and elaborated:
"Rishabh Pant has scored a century, and that too in his own style. He reached his hundred with a six, and then hit one more six. What Pant was doing against the second new ball towards the end of the first day's play, only he can do that. There should be no doubt about that.
"There was a serious conversation during the IPL. We were on JioStar, and someone asked whether he should even be taken to England, considering his form. I said let's keep these things separate as they are two different things.
"Since he was insisting a lot that the form isn't there and the bat is not striking the ball, I said that if you check India's Test history and be absolutely impartial, you would say that India haven't produced a better wicketkeeper-batter than Rishabh Pant. He is the best already."
Aakash Chopra also lashed out at the critics of Pant, stating that the unorthodox style of cricket has brought him success, and he shouldn't be criticised for his mode of dismissals.
"He has scored centuries in Australia, England and South Africa, and one more here, reaching it with a six, and then you realize that he plays like this only. You will always see Rishabh Pant playing like this only," he said.
