It Was Great To Play Here In India - Will Young

Earlier, New Zealand scored runs with relative ease on the Pune pitch after choosing to bat first. However, they faced setbacks with the loss of wickets at regular intervals. Tom Latham was the first to be dismissed after scoring 15 runs off 22 balls, followed by Will Young, who managed 18 off 45 deliveries.

Speaking before the start of the match, Will Young said that hitting the winning runs in India was special for him. Young stated that he played a lot of First Class cricket after a long injury recovery. He added that they celebrated their previous Test win but they're focused on the new challenge.

"Yeah, I think it has been my role. To stay on the sidelines and wait for my opportunity. It was great to play here in India, to hit the winning runs was special. Yeah, has been a long injury. I had the opportunity to play a lot of First Class cricket."

"One thing I learnt is that to be always ready for your opportunity. It is both, Kane is one of our greats. We have all got strengths and weaknesses. It is about being authentic to yourself. Obviously celebrate the last Test win, few days off and be ready to go for this one."

"It will be different challenge. No weather as it was in Bengaluru. We are interested to see what the pitch is and what team India play, and we will see from there on."
