India wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant is known for his on-field antics alongside his belligerent batting. While everyone is aware of Pant's brilliance with the bat, his funny conversations have been highly entertaining too.

During the second Test of the series between India and New Zealand at Pune, Pant was involved in another funny incident where he intimidated Sarfaraz while everyone on the team was watching.

When the players were starting to get ready for the play at the start of Day 1, Rishabh Pant came in front of Sarfaraz and intimidated him which pushed Sarfaraz back a little. The players then got into a team huddle before the start of play.

Both Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan were involved in a brilliant partnership of 177 runs in the first Test of the series in Bengaluru. Sarfaraz Khan scored his maiden Test hundred and went on to score 150 off 195 balls. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant fell one run short of his hundred and was dismissed for 99.

New Zealand start well in 2nd Test

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss on a dry surface at Pune and decided to bat first. India's new ball bowlers bowled tightly but did not find any help from the surface. Akash Deep was expensive while Bumrah bowled testing lines and lengths.

Ravichandran Ashwin was brought into the attack in the eighth over of the innings and picked up the big wicket of Tom Latham in his fifth ball of the match. It was a great start for Ashwin, who had a rare bad game in the last Test at Bengaluru.

After a brief partnership, Ashwin dismissed Will Young, thanks to Sarfaraz Khan, who convinced Rohit Sharma to take successful DRS. Ashwin later picked up the third New Zealand wicket when he dismissed the other opener, Devon Conway.

Washington Sundar fights back for India

A good partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Daryl Mitchell followed but Washington Sundar had other plans. Ravindra was batting beautifully but was bowled off a special delivery by Sundar for 65.

Sundar did not stop here and picked up the wicket of Tom Blundell as well. Blundell tried to push a ball off his front foot but was left a gap for the ball to go through between his bat and pad.

The offspinner then claimed the big wicket of Daryl Mitchell after lunch to leave New Zealand six wickets down. Sundar also got the wicket of Glenn Phillips later to pick up his fourth wicket of the match. It was a stunning turnaround from the youngster as he brought his team back into the game with a fine bowling display.

Washington Sundar wasn't even a part of the squad for the first Test and came into the squad before this Test on the back of a fantastic performance for Tamil Nadu in the Ranji Trophy. He made an immediate impact in his first innings and proved the decision of the team management right.
