Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant played an outrageous shot off Australia skipper Pat Cummins' bowling during the ongoing first Test match in Perth. Rishabh Pant's shot came when the Indian national cricket team was struggling with six early wickets in the first innings of the series opener.
Team India stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah opted to bat first after winning the toss at Optus Stadium on Friday, November 22. However, this decision proved costly for the visiting team in the ongoing match. They lost six batters for just 73 runs on the board in the first innings under challenging conditions.

Stop What You Are Doing Right Now - Harsha Bhogle
“Ladies and gentlemen stop what you are doing right now. Get your jaw together again because this is Rishabh Pant and this is why he is box office and just one of the 'wow' players in the game,” Harsha Bhogle said on Fox Cricket commentary.
"Trademark, trademark Rishabh Pant. Seen him play that time and time again in IPL. Wow, look at him, so composed, played it real late. That's a half-volley," David Warner said.
"I don't know which replay I want to see again, whether it's this one, which is eye-catching in itself, or the look on your face when he actually played it. I've seen him play this before, but this on a large boundary with a man on the boundary already," Bhogle said.
India Suffered Collapse on Day 1 of Perth Test Match
Australia's pace trio of Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, and Josh Hazlewood dominated the morning session in Perth. The fast bowlers exploited the pitch's extra bounce and seam movement. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Devdutt Padikkal were dismissed for ducks, while Virat Kohli managed to score just five runs.
KL Rahul (26) was the only batter showing resistance before his controversial dismissal just before lunch. Dhruv Jurel (11) and Washington Sundar (4) didn't make an impact with the bat in the post-lunch session. The visitors collapsed to 73/6 before the partnership between Rishabh and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Pant was the seventh batter to be dismissed in India's first innings when the score was just 121 runs. The wicketkeeper-batter scored 37 runs off 78 balls, with the help of three sixes and one four. Team India then lost quick wickets and collapsed to 144/9, with Nitish Kumar Reddy at the crease.
