During the conversations in the episode, Ritika was asked to express his thoughts regarding Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Her comment caught the attention of the host as well as her husband, as both former Indian players could not hold their laughter.
In a very casual tone, Ritika Sajdeh described Yuzvendra Chahal as a cartoon, which sparked a spree of laughter in the room.
"Cartoon. Usually, he is a cartoon," said Ritika Sajdeh.
Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal's playing days for India
Rohit Sharma, the captain of the Indian ODI side, recently announced his retirement from the longest format of the game. He also announced his retirement from the shortest format back in 2024 after winning the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024.
Yuzvendra Chahal made his debut for India in the ODI format against Zimbabwe, and by this time, Rohit Sharma had already emerged as one of the major pillars of Indian cricket. Despite having a short career, Chahal and Rohit shared the same dressing room on several occasions.
Yuzvendra Chahal was also a part of the squad that was selected for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, led by skipper Rohit Sharma. Though Chahal didn't play a single game, he was part of the 15-member squad that won the T20 World Cup after 17 years.
Yuzi Chahal goes down with 72 and 80 matches in his ODI and T20I career, respectively, having picked 121 and 96 wickets in his career. He was India's highest wicket-taker in the shortest format of the game until Arshdeep Singh surpassed him recently.
Yuzvendra Chahal's IPL debut under Rohit Sharma
Yuzvendra Chahal made his Indian Premier League debut back in 2013 with the Mumbai Indians. It was under Rohit Sharma's leadership that he made his debut. Since that very season, Rohit has been deemed captain of the IPL franchise.
Chahal went on to play 6 matches in the IPL under Rohit Sharma's leadership; however, later he was released ahead of IPL 2014 and went on to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore, Rajasthan Royals, and the Punjab Kings in his IPL career.
Yuzvendra Chahal went on to play 174 matches in the Indian Premier League and is the leading wicket-taker in the history of the competition with 221 wickets to his name. He is the recipient of multiple purple caps and has led teams from the front, winning matches with his stunning bowling.
Yuzvendra Chahal's disappointing IPL season and turmoil in his personal life
Though Yuzvendra Chahal is widely known for his impact in the IPL with the ball, he had the worst of his seasons in this season of the IPL.
Yuzi Chahal was picked for a whopping INR 18 crores by the Punjab Kings, who wanted the best spinner in IPL history on their side. However, Chahal's IPL season didn't go by his standards, as the bowler sustained several injuries throughout his stint with the Red Devils from Punjab.
Being the sole expert spinner on the side, Chahal has played 14 matches in the IPL season and went on to pick 16 wickets, averaging over 26.88 and an economy of 9.56. This has been Chahal's costliest season in terms of economy.
Chahal had an unfortunate year in 2025, as he underwent divorce just before the IPL after several speculations of a split with his influencer wife, Dhanashree Verma.
