Soon after the final ended, players, family members, and officials entered the ground to celebrate the big win. Rohit Sharma was seen walking along the boundary line with ICC chairman Jay Shah, who was the BCCI secretary when India had won the 2024 edition under the Hitman.

As the fans chanted for him, Rohit Sharma grabbed Shah’s hand and lifted it towards the crowd in a playful manner, making it look like he was calling the ICC chairman the “real scriptwriter." Rohit’s funny gesture surprised Shah for a moment before both of them burst into laughter.
