Watch: 'Rohit Sharma doesn't care about...' - Sanju Samson, Rishabh Pant and others share bold views on India captain

India stars Rishabh Pant, Suryakumar Yadav, Sanju Samson, and Kuldeep Yadav expressed their love for India captain Rohit Sharma ahead of the game against Canada in the T20 World Cup 2024. They talked about how the skipper loves to keep youngsters around him. 

India captain Rohit Sharma has been one of the finest players from India to have graced the game of cricket. The opening batter has been the backbone of the team for the last decade and what he has done for Indian cricket is something many admire and respect him for. 

Rohit Sharma as a batter has been sensational. The opening batter has played many great innings for the team and it's fair to say that he is arguably one of the best opening batters going around in the world cricket in all three formats of the game. He has carried the batting lineup of the team along with Virat Kohli, making the team dominant. 

Ever since Rohit Sharma has taken the captaincy of the Indian team, he has been completely different. Apart from his personal performances, he has made sure that he carries his team along with him, and the way he deals with youngsters is something for everyone to cherish. 

Rishabh Pant talked about Rohit Sharma, claiming that he admires the captain because even after achieving so much, he still is keen to learn. Talking to the International Cricket Council (ICC), ahead of the game against Canada, he explained: 

"You know in cricket You always level up in a different way and you gotta keep learning. And I think that is something I really admire. He has played a lot of cricket but at the same time he still wants to improve himself each and every day." 

Suryakumar Yadav also shared his experience about playing with Rohit Sharma, saying that the India captain understands his game well and him going back to basics when he gets stuck is the thing that he likes about his captain. He added: 

"He understands his game really well. I've seen a lot of times when he's stuck he always goes back to basics. That's one thing which I really like about him."

He doesn't care about how many cameras are watching him or how many stump mics are listening to him - Sanju Samson on Rohit Sharma 

Sanju Samson also talked about what he along with youngsters learned from Rohit Sharma. He said that they learn how to be themselves from the captain. He pointed out how Rohit Sharma is unfazed by the cameras and mics. He elaborated: 

"What we all youngsters learn from him is how to be your own self actually. He doesn't care about how many cameras are watching him or how many stump mics are listening to him. Actually he is absolutely himself." 

Kuldeep Yadav while talking about Rohit Sharma said that the captain likes to keep everyone on his toes. He stated: 

"And obviously he is someone who likes all the youngsters that really keep him on toes all the time."

Rohit Sharma is currently captaining the Indian team in the T20 World Cup 2024. Under his leadership, the team has won three consecutive games and will be next seen in action when they will take on Canada on 15th June.
