Rohit Sharma's future with the India National Cricket Team has been ruling the headlines over the last few days. However, Rohit Sharma silenced his critics with a stunning century during the team’s 27-run defeat in the third and final ODI against England on July 19 at Lord’s.
It was really a disappointing tour for the Men in Blue as they first lost the T20I 0-4 to England under Shreyas Iyer and then suffered a 1-2 loss in the ODI series. Before these embarrassing results, the Ireland team also whitewashed India at home in the two-match T20I series.
Rohit Sharma-Gautam Gambhir's Lord's balcony chat goes viral

The video went viral across social media platforms within minutes, with fans trying to understand what Gambhir and Rohit were discussing.
The intense conversation caught more attention because it came at a time when there were rumours about Rohit's retirement and reports of tension inside the Indian dressing room. Rohit Sharma crushes retirement buzz with stunning Lord's century
Before the third and final ODI at Lord's on July 19, several reports claimed that head coach Gautam Gambhir and chief selector Ajit Agarkar had informed Rohit that he was not part of India's plans for the 2027 ODI World Cup. It was also being said that the Lord's ODI could be the 39-year-old's final match for India that created huge buzz before the series decider.
However, Rohit let his bat do the talking. The experienced opener smashed a superb 138 runs. It was his 34th ODI hundred that gave India a fighting total of 387/3 and reminded everyone why he is still one of the best batters for the team. Earlier, Harry brook hailed Ben Duckett's match-winning century vs India.
But Rohit's century could not help India win the match. England chased down the target successfully and won the third ODI to seal the three-match series 2-1. After the match, India captain Shubman Gill dismissed the rumours about Rohit Sharma's retirement.
Gill revealed that there had been no discussions on Rohit's future inside the dressing room when he was asked about the buzz at the press conference.
