Rohit Sharma Hits Pragyan Ojha

Indian captain Rohit Sharma hogged the headlines with his antics during the third T20I against Afghanistan. The batter did some hilarious things during the dead rubber game between the teams that took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Rohit Sharma, who is known for his funny nature, was yet again at his best in the third game. The Indian captain was seen having a hilarious banter with the umpire Virender Sharma as the official gave his one shot as leg bye.

While that incident left many in splits, another video of him doing a hilarious thing has gone viral on the internet. Ahead of the start of the third game, he was seen having a fun encounter with former Indian cricketer Pragyan Ojha, who was part of the commentary panel for Jio Cinema.

Rohit Sharma went to Pragyan Ojha and out of nowhere hit him on the back. The former spinner couldn’t believe what happened and gave a hilarious reaction in reply. Others around the duo couldn’t control the laughter.

Here’s the video:

Rohit Sharma had a great outing in the match with the bat. The Indian captain oozed his class and helped his team win the game. The opening batter was left stranded at the one end initially as India was left tottering at 22/4 with some big names in the hut.

But after that skipper, joined hands with Rinku Singh (69*) and brought his team back into the game. The duo added 190 runs for the partnership but the main wrecker-in-chief behind the carnage was the captain Rohit Sharma, who continued being aggressive despite being struggling initially.

Rohit Sharma played shots all over and hit some powerful blows that entertained the crowd. He brought up his 5th ton and ended with the knock of an unbeaten 121 runs. The batter slammed 11 fours and 8 sixes in his innings and had a strike rate of over 175.

Rohit Sharma was even impressive in the two super overs that were played. He was one of the main reasons behind India winning the game. In total in the game, he scored 145 runs and made sure that he helped his team complete the 3-0 whitewash and go into the T20 World Cup high on confidence.

The thing with Rohit Sharma is just the kind of range that he has – Rahul Dravid

After the match, India head coach Rahul Dravid was in awe of skipper Rohit Sharma. He said that it’s hard to bowl to the batter when he is set and highlighted the range of shots that the opener has.

Rahul Dravid also added that Rohit Sharma’s presence in the dressing room is helpful and they are delighted to see him back in the T20Is. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:

“The thing with Rohit is just the kind of range that he has. It’s hard to bowl at him when he’s set at the back end because you can’t bowl short – he’s really got the pull shot. Good to have him back; his presence in the dressing room is helpful, and terrific. Both Virat and him add a lit to this group.”

Rohit Sharma will now be seen in action during the Test series against England. India will host the Three Lions for the five-match Test series, starting 25th January. The opener will be crucial for the team in the series.
