Rohit Sharma At Nets

India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma has started his preparations for the upcoming three-match Test series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The series between the two teams will kick start on 16th October at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

India skipper Rohit has been putting in the hard yards ahead of the Test series. He took a short break after the two-match series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, in which the hosts won the margin of 2-0 and bagged important two points in WTC.

India captain Rohit Sharma reportedly will be reaching Bengaluru to join the team on 12th October. However, before his departure, he made sure that he got a few net sessions under his belt and got into the groove ahead of the Test series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team.

Rohit trained in Mumbai, and he shared a glimpse of that on social media. In the video that has gone viral on the internet, the India captain can be seen in fine touch as he smashed the ball in the nets and played some gorgeous strokes as well.

However, what caught the attention of many was as he came out to bat, someone could be heard asking the Indian captain if he would hit the first ball for a six. Replying to this, Rohit Sharma came up with the instant hilarious reaction, saying, “Pagal ho gaya hai kya?”

Here's the video:

Rohit notably slammed a first-ball six in the second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team, which took place at the Green Park in Kanpur. The opening batter came down, tracked, and dispatched the ball out of the park, and, after that, slammed two more sixes in the next 4 balls.

Rohit Sharma didn't have a great outing with the bat in the Test series against Bangladesh

Rohit didn't have a great outing with the bat in the Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The batter couldn't register a big score in the two games and fell early. But as a captain, he was top-notch as he ticked almost every box right and helped the team win the game.

The upcoming Test series against the New Zealand National Cricket Team will be a massive opportunity for Rohit to get back to his best. The India captain has been in decent touch of late and would be hoping to get a big score against the Kiwis and go into the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the back of some good knocks.

Rohit Sharma might miss one game of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

As per the various media reports, it was learned that Rohit might miss at least one Test of their upcoming five-match series in Australia. The reports claimed that the India National Cricket Team skipper had informed BCCI that he would be skipping a game due to personal reasons.

If Rohit misses one of the first two games in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25, it will be a massive blow for the India National Cricket Team. Not only will they miss an opening batter but also a captain. So far, India has no vice-captain in Tests, and if he misses a game, it remains to be seen who will take the charge.
