Rohit Sharma And Virat Kohli Celebration

After their fine recovery with the bat in the ongoing first Test against Bangladesh, Team India started strongly with the ball. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah gave India the perfect start by castling Shadman Islam for two runs in the first over.

Akash Deep then dismissed Zakir Hasan (3) and Mominul Haque (0) on successive deliveries to reduce Bangladesh to 22 for 3 in the ninth over. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto got the start but could not last long as Mohammed Siraj dismissed him for 20 to leave Bangladesh reeling at 36 for 4.

Four runs later, Bumrah struck again and dismissed the in-form Mushfiqur Rahim to put India firmly in the driver's seat. Litton Das and Shakib Al Hasan then stopped the rot and steadied the ship with a much-needed partnership for their team.

The two went on to share 51 runs for the sixth wicket. However, before they could bail Bangladesh out of trouble, Ravindra Jadeja broke the stand by dismissing Litton Das. The left-arm spinner had the right-handed batsman caught at deep backward square leg. Litton departed after scoring 22 runs off 42 balls.

The wicket was a crucial one for Team India and the reaction from Virat Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma said it all. The captain and his predecessor celebrated the breakthrough in an aggressive manner as India regained control again.

While the likes of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant got the start, they did not last long as India were reduced to 144/6 in the second session on day two of the IND vs BAN Test. However, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja starred with the bat to rescue the hosts.

The two went on to share a big stand of 199 runs for the seventh wicket. Ashwin scored 113 runs off 133 balls while Jadeja scored 86 runs from 124 balls.
