West Indies went through to the semis based on the run rate. England and West Indies were the two teams that qualified for the semi-finals of the contest.
Chamari Athapaththu was in brilliant form in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026, scoring 164 runs in 5 matches, maintaining an impressive 43.00 batting average.
Against the Ireland Women’s cricket team, the left-handed experienced batter presented a blazing 106 off just 61 balls, which was the true test of her batting skills. The century against Ireland marked the first-ever hundred in a Women's T20 World Cup run chase.
Sri Lanka vs Pakistan: An important contest for the Women's Championship 2025-29
The upcoming fixtures against the Pakistan women’s team are going to be very crucial as the team from the island nation is very much in the title race in the Women's Championship 2025-29. Ahead of the series against Pakistan, Sri Lanka holds third place with eight points from six matches.
The SL vs PAK ODI series is scheduled to start on July 23, with the second and third matches on July 25 and July 28, respectively. All of the three matches will be held in Hambantota.
