India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma, along with senior batter Virat Kohli, were furious towards the end of the play on Day 4 of the ongoing first Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The match between the teams is heading towards an exciting finish at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
India National Cricket Team came up with a 10 times better effort with the bat than the first innings. They played a magnificent brand of cricket despite having conceded a massive lead of 356 runs. The Rohit Sharma-led side posted a total of 462 runs and set a target of 106 runs for the New Zealand National Cricket Team to chase.
India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was breathing fire with the ball and with overcast conditions around, the ball was doing a lot. The fast bowler beat New Zealand National Cricket Team skipper Tom Latham on both the inside as well as the outside edge and even wrapped him up on pads.
But after the 4 balls of the over, on-field umpires didn't allow the players to play further. The atmosphere at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru looked very gloomy and dark and the match officials were not convinced by the light to continue the game further, asking players to leave the field.
However, this left Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli angry. The senior players of the India National Cricket Team were unhappy with umpires forcing the players to leave the field. The India skipper was seen having an animated chat with the umpires while Kohli was also fuming.
Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli didn't want to leave the field. They desperately wanted to get a few overs under their belt as it was their best bet to take early wickets.

Sarfaraz Khan and Rishabh Pant led fightback for India
The Day four of the ongoing first Test between India and New Zealand saw both teams having their moments. It was another fascinating day of Test cricket as the hosts made a strong comeback in the first two sessions before the Kiwis came to the top in the last session.
Sarfaraz Khan (150) continued with the overnight score of 70 and went on to slam his maiden Test century for India. He made sure that he converted it into a big one and played a stellar inning. Rishabh Pant (99) joined hands with him as the duo took the attack to the New Zealand bowlers and brought India back into the game.
The duo stitched 177 runs for the fourth wicket and helped the Indian team take the lead before Sarfaraz got out. Pant kept batting in a similar fashion before he faced heartbreak and perished on 99 runs.
New Zealand make strong comeback
The introduction of a new ball changed the fortunes of the hosts. New Zealand bowlers picked wickets in a flash as the Indian innings ended on 462 with a lead of 106 runs. The visitors then came out to bat for just four balls before bad light forced umpires to call early stumps on Day four. At Stumps, the Kiwis were 0/0 and need 107 runs to win.
