Abhishek Nayar Twists Rohit Sharmas Ear

It was a great start for India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma to the hectic Test season. Under his leadership, the team won the first match of the two-match Test series against Bangladesh by a massive margin at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Not only for Rohit Sharma, it was also a great start for head coach Gautam Gambhir and assistant coach Abhishek Nayar, who were coaching the team for the first time in Test cricket. India National Cricket Team won the first game of the series by a big margin of 280 runs and took a 1-0 lead in the series.

Rohit Sharma was top-notch with his leadership as he rotated his bowlers pretty well, and, after that, was spot-on with his field placements. The opening batter, although he didn't have a great game with the bat, made sure he brought the best out of his teammates and helped the team win the game.

While Sharma was quite serious on the field, a video emerged from the Indian dressing room where the Indian captain can be seen getting a hilarious treatment from Abhishek Nayar. The assistant coach of the team can be seen pulling the ear of the skipper while Ravichandran Ashwin is having a good laugh about it.

Coming to the game between India and Bangladesh, the hosts were asked to bat first and they didn't have a great start. They were left tottering at 144/6, and it was then that Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja joined hands and bailed the team out of trouble.

The duo soaked in all the pressure and stitched a 199-run partnership that put the Indian team in a dominating position. While the off-spinner slammed a century, the left-hander ended up hitting 87 runs as the Rohit Sharma-led side ended up posting 376 runs on the board in the first innings.

With the ball then, Jasprit Bumrah oozed his class as he picked four wickets while Ravindra Jadeja, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep picked two wickets each. In their stupendous effort with the ball, India bundled out the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for just 149 runs.

In the second innings, India lost early wickets, but Shubman Gill (119) and Rishabh Pant (109) slammed magnificent centuries that powered India to a total of around 290. They took a massive lead and set a target of 555 runs for the Bangladesh National Cricket Team to chase and win the game.

Ravichandran Ashwin came up with a solid bowling performance as he picked six wickets, while Ravindra Jadeja bagged three wickets. Bangladesh lost the game by a massive margin of 280 runs as India took a 1-0 lead in the series. Rohit and his team would now be keen to carry on the confidence in the next game and win the series by the margin of 2-0. The game will be played in Kanpur from 27th September.
