Team India wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant shared a post on his official social media account to celebrate Independence Day on Friday, August 15. The 27-year-old cricketer uploaded unseen footage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 celebrations with Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and other teammates.
India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in the Champions Trophy 2025 final in Dubai on Sunday, March 9. The Indian team also faced criticism for having an ‘unfair advantage’ during the Champions Trophy, as they played all their matches at a single venue, while the other seven teams had to travel.

“Retirement lelu? Har baar jeetega toh mai thodi retirement leta rahunga.” [Retirement? I’m not going to retire every time I win]," Rohit said.

India Won the 2025 Champions Trophy Unbeaten
India completed an unbeaten run to claim the 2025 Champions Trophy. They started with a six-wicket win over Bangladesh, followed by another six-wicket triumph against Pakistan. A 44-run victory over New Zealand in their final group match helped them top Group A.
Rohit Sharma’s side defeated Australia by four wickets in the semifinal and then overcame New Zealand in the final to lift the trophy without losing a single match.
This was India’s third Champions Trophy title, having previously won in 2002 (as joint winners) and 2013. They became the only team to win the tournament three times.
